How to Win at Knockout
Knockout is a one-two boxing reaction game — land your combos exactly on cue to drop your rival first. It rewards clean timing far more than fast mashing.
The game is timing, not speed
Punches only count when they land on the cue. Throwing early or late breaks the combo and wastes the hit. Landing on-beat, again and again, is what stacks the damage that wins the round.
Read the tell
- Watch for the exact cue that signals each punch, and let it trigger your tap.
- Hover over the punch zones so your thumbs have zero travel when the cue hits.
- React, don’t anticipate — committing to the whole combo early gets you caught by a change of pace.
Ride the rhythm
- Many combos land on a steady beat — lock into it and let it carry you.
- After a miss, reset your timing instead of rushing to “catch up.”
- Stay loose — a tense arm is a slow punch. Relax between combos.
On-beat beats fast: a perfectly timed one-two does more than a frantic flurry of mistimed taps. Prioritize clean landings over raw speed and your damage climbs.

Frequently asked questions
Should I tap as fast as possible?
No — punches only count when timed to the cue. Clean rhythm beats mashing every time.
How do I stop breaking my combo?
React to each individual cue rather than anticipating the whole sequence, so a change of pace can’t bait you.
Does warming up help?
Yes — both your reaction and your sense of the rhythm sharpen after a few rounds.
