How to Climb the Leaderboard

Two boards, two ways to rise. Here’s how to move up the Rank Points and Tokens Won leaderboards — and how to top the friends who matter most.

Know which board you’re chasing

VS Compete has two ladders. Rank Points (RP) come from free play and measure pure skill; Tokens Won come from winning stake matches and track your prize earnings. Decide which you’re climbing — or chase both. Full breakdown in how scoring & ranks work.

Build Rank Points in free play

Build Tokens Won in stake matches

Rise through the tiers

You start at the Casual tier and move up as you go. Climbing tiers puts you among bolder players and bigger stakes — step up when your skill (and your nerve) is ready, not before.

Top your friends

The Friends Leaderboard ranks you against just your circle — often the most satisfying board to win. Invite friends, then out-play them.

The real cheat code: pick one or two games, read their strategy guides, and get genuinely good. Skill moves every board here — no shortcut around it, which is exactly why climbing feels earned.
